All of our divisions and departments work closely together to achieve this, offering an exciting environment for you to gain practical professional experience. Whether with an internship or as a student working during their studies, you will work with us actively and gain a deep insight into the diverse and fascinating world of air traffic control.

Work with us to ensure safety in the sky

With us, you will be an integral part of the team and will be making a contribution to safe air traffic. You will be entrusted with relevant duties of your own, as well as assuming more and more responsibility. You will be in close contact with your colleagues, who will provide both guidance and support.

What we can offer students during their studies

Internship

  • 3–6 months

  • €1,000 pay

  • As a compulsory or a voluntary internship

Working students (studentische Aushilfskraft)

  • Ideally 6-24 months

  • up to 20 hours per week

  • remuneration: from €13 per hour

Mandatory station of the legal clerkship

  • Third mandatory station in administration

  • offering insights into airspaces, flight procedures, law, European regulations and much more

  • Minimum availability: 3 months

You can get an initial feel for aviation in these areas

  • IT: Gain fascinating insights into our multifaceted IT units, such as software development, our central IT operations, and IT consulting for our specialist divisions. Learn about our future DFS cloud infrastructure and assist with the operation/maintenance and product management of all applications.

  • Engineering: Get to know our various fields, such as air traffic control technology, infrastructure, simulations, research & development, and many more.

  • Corporate/management: Support us in our varied management areas, such as group communications, corporate development, HR, accounting, business analysis, etc.

  • Aviation: Find out more about our safety management and other exciting divisions such as operational performance & development.

Prerequisite

  • Studying at a standard university or university of applied science
  • At least in your 2nd semester
