Paving the way for the
aviation industry of the future
Our culture and vision
We see ourselves as guarantors of the safety of air traffic in Germany. Our passion for aviation and our safety awareness are what unite us. The way we work together is characterised by trust, respect and mutual appreciation. Maintaining an open dialogue and, above all, having fun at work are the prerequisites for a high level of motivation and an excellent team spirit among colleagues.
At DFS, we stand for exceptional safety and high quality in one of the most complex airspaces in Europe. Our objective is to be the leading air navigation service provider in Europe. To this end, we drive innovation and offer safe, competitive and sustainable air navigation services. This is how we are paving the way for the aviation industry of the future.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
"Aviation is our passion and safety our DNA"
Our values
The way we work together at DFS is characterised by our five values. These were developed by our staff and managers and are a key part of our culture.
What do others say about working at DFS?
Kununu is an online platform where employees can write reviews about their company and their day-to-day work. What do your future colleagues value most about DFS?
Working together to do good
We are fully aware of our company's responsibility towards society. That is why we support measures in 3 areas: high-quality education and training, climate protection and the promotion of health and well-being. This can be seen in various projects, including those described below:
Aktion Restcent
DFS staff can donate the amounts after the decimal point of their monthly net income (i.e. between one and 99 cents per month) to worthwhile causes. The staff themselves also vote on the use of 75 percent of these funds and they can submit proposals for charitable and sustainable projects worthy of support. The remaining 25 percent of the money then goes to the non-profit Social Skies e.V. that was founded by DFS staff and supports international projects.
DFS Social Days
Many colleagues at DFS enjoy helping out worthy causes in their free time. We enable staff to play an active role in important social projects. As part of our Social Days, they can, for example, spend a day working at a learning centre or a children's cancer charity. Between 15 and 20 volunteers per branch typically get involved. With this approach, we not only promote social commitment, but also strengthen the sense of solidarity within our teams.
Partnerships with a future
DFS cooperates closely with organisations such as Berami, Joblinge and Mentoring Hessen to promote volunteer work. These partnerships enable staff to use their expertise and skills for a good cause: helping young people and disadvantaged groups develop more successful future prospects.
