Insights from university

While studying at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, you will become proficient in business English and deepen your knowledge of the aviation industry and logistics. The other content of the course ranges from business administration and accounting, through aviation legislation and taxation, all the way up to international & cross-culture management.

Insights from the practical world

During your practical phases, you will work directly on projects and draw up practical experience reports on specialist topics – for example on staff scheduling at the control centre, the impact of meteorological conditions on departures and approaches at Frankfurt Airport or planning new airports and runways. You will complete your practical work placements in various areas of DFS – ranging from operational to administrative. You will receive personal and professional support from a dedicated contact in our training team.

What we are looking for

School-leaving certificate

  • Good to excellent Abitur
  •  
  • German, maths and English (at least 11 points in the German system)

Experience & interests

  • Initial practical experience, such as from a training programme / apprenticeship, an internship or a holiday job
  • Sound understanding of the business world and logical relationships

  • An affinity for air navigation services and aviation

Personal characteristics

  • A team player that enjoys working on joint projects
  • Desire for personal development
  • Good analytical skills and quality consciousness
