Tailwind for your career start

Business graduate
trainee programme

Get to know the strategic and corporate management divisions at DFS over 24 months and secure the best springboard for your career. If you are a master's graduate with a real passion for aviation, our business trainee programme is the ideal place to start. You will be assigned your own duties and take on sub-projects right from the outset here.

You will also have the chance to take excursions and engage in work shadowing programmes that allow you to network both internally and externally. In this way, you will gradually learn to take on responsibility and open up the best prospects for your future.

The application period for our next programme (starting in October 2027) opens in February 2027.

Everything you need for your future

Our graduate trainee programme has been designed to cover everything you need to really get to grips with the complex and exciting aviation system and help shape it in future. You will also benefit from an open, helpful and appreciative environment, where you can start work on establishing a network early on, even beyond the boundaries of DFS. Excursions to our system partners in the aviation sector are what make this possible. We will then work together in setting the course for your future. At the end of the programme, we will support you in applying for vacancies at DFS that you find exciting.

Optimum support

We are always at your side during your business graduate trainee programme. A mentor from senior management will provide you with targeted and personal support. In addition, a former trainee will act as your personal mentor and assist you based on their own experiences. You can also engage in regular discussions with other former trainees in a relaxed atmosphere. Our individual support is complemented by your sparring partner from the HR development department. In this way, we offer you the best professional and personal preparations for assuming a highly responsible position.
