And in our ultimate air traffic controller quiz with tricky questions from the world of aviation. The games are also ideal preparation for our selection process. Test your skills now:
Pushing Tin
Over 10,000 aircraft movements over Germany are guided from our control centres and control towers every day. Show that you have what it takes to be an air traffic controller and guide aircraft safely to their destination airport. Make sure that they do not get too close to each other.
Vectoring
Become an air traffic controller yourself and ensure that travellers arrive at their destinations safely and on time. Guide aircraft through the air corridor with sufficient safety distance. If you like, you can even use voice input – in German or English!
Multitasking
Are you able to multitask? In that case show off your skills in Numerix and Tube. Place bricks, pay attention to numbers and at the same time steer an aeroplane through the flight corridor. Are you ready to get down to business with your full attention and concentration? Then let's go:

Detailed instructions and tips
Your aim is to guide the aeroplanes to their destination airports.
-
Move the mouse over the aeroplane or tap it with your finger. You will then find out which airport the aeroplane is travelling to.
-
Move the mouse over the aeroplane and hold down the mouse or finger to draw a line. The aeroplane will now follow this route.
-
The aim is to navigate the aeroplanes safely by drawing ever new lines, without them getting too close to each other.
-
Tip for using the smartphone: Play in landscape mode, otherwise it will be very tight for the aeroplanes.
Feel like a real air traffic controller and guide aeroplanes through the flight corridor.
-
In Safari, Chrome and Edge browsers, you can use voice inputs to instruct pilots how to navigate, just like in real life:
-
To do this, click on the aircraft whose course you want to change in the radar field. Then activate the microphone icon at the bottom left and say the number for the desired new direction, for example "zero" or "three hundred fifty".
-
You can also switch the language input to German using the slider. Say only numbers here, too, for example "zero" or "three hundred and fifty".
-
If your instruction was understood correctly, the speech input is displayed in green in the list under "Speech Language".
-
Alternatively, you can also pass on your instructions by clicking on the coordinates in the compass rose or using the "+" and "-" buttons (on your smartphone).
-
Tip: If the corridor is not recognisable, increase the brightness of the screen.
Show that you can keep an eye on several things at the same time, just like air traffic controllers.
Numerix
-
Move the falling bricks with the arrow keys on the keyboard.
-
A line counts as complete and disappears if the sum of the numbers can be divided by 10. You will then receive 50 points.
Tube
-
Guide aeroplanes through the flight corridor.
-
Rotate the aeroplane to the right and left by clicking on the buttons.
-
If you leave the tube, 50 points will be deducted. If you stay on track, points will be awarded every 10 seconds.
Multitasking-Modus
-
Play Numerix and Tube at the same time.
There are 30 questions waiting for you. You can choose from three answers, only one of which is correct.
-
Simply click on your answer to find out if you are correct.
-
Sometimes there is more detailed information on the topic when you get the correct answer.
-
A bar shows you which question you are currently on and how many questions you have answered correctly or incorrectly so far.
-
In the overview at the bottom of the screen, you can take another look at the progress of your answers and find out more about the topic for some answers.
