Our Headquarters in Langen
Our DFS Headquarters in Langen is located in the heart of the Rhine Main region, almost exactly between Frankfurt and Darmstadt. Alongside the Langen control centre, our campus is also home to our corporate divisions, our Technical Centre, our IT Systems House and our Research and Development Centre.
Our DFS Academy is also located on this site. Thanks to its convenient location, modern buildings and many green spaces with a park-like character, our campus offers ideal conditions for both working and relaxing.

The largest control centre in Europe
One of our 4 total control centres is located in Langen. There is a good reason why the area control centre (ACC) in Langen is the largest in Europe: it coordinates and monitors one of the most complex airspaces in the world. Due to the density of airports in major cities such as Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Munich, Nürnberg and Stuttgart, as well as arrivals and departures to and from Amsterdam, Brussels, London and Paris, there is an extremely large number of aircraft movements in this area.
The DFS Academy
As one of the most cutting-edge training centres for air navigation services in Europe, the DFS Academy is an important pillar of the Langen site. Some 200 trainees and students on dual courses of studies start their careers every year – from air traffic controllers, through technical professions, all the way up to commercial specialists. Alongside this, further training courses for all our staff and emergency training courses for our air traffic controllers are also held at the Academy.

Our Langen Campus not only offers ideal conditions for working, but also for relaxing during breaks or after work. The campus ponds are also the perfect place for enjoying a relaxing stroll. You can reach both Frankfurt and Darmstadt quickly from our own S-Bahn commuter rail station.

The town of Langen, located in the countryside between Frankfurt and Darmstadt, combines the benefits of a quiet small town with the proximity to urban life. In summer, the nearby lake, Langener Waldsee, is a real highlight. You can relax on the beach, swim or enjoy water sports. The town centre of Langen is charming and offers numerous shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants. However, there are also many cultural and sporting opportunities for those looking to make the most of their free time.
